Social club for people with special needs
What: Coletta Club is a social club for individuals with special needs. The program started 30 years ago and offers a time for these individuals to have some fun with their peers. The club meets from September through May, every other Monday, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kolbe Hall, 1621 University Ave. NE, which is handicap accessible. Club activities include bingo, crafts, dances, various games and movie night, as well as a Christmas Party in December and a pot luck banquet in May to end the season. The group’s first event of the season will be a bingo night, Monday, Sept. 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m. New members and volunteers are welcome.
