Saturday: Reception for "Actors & Spectators"
Posted 9/22/2014
Kolman & Pryor Gallery, located in Studio 395 of the Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE, presents, "Actors & Spectators," an exhibition of new work by Farida Hughes. Hughes has long been taken with the phrase "All the world’s a stage..." which opens the famous monologue in Shakespeare’s play, As You Like It. Using paintings and installations, the artist explores "how we participate in our world via movement" as both players and viewers. The show runs Sept. 13-Oct. 25, with a free public reception Saturday, Sept. 27, 7-10 p.m. The reception is also part of coordinated gallery openings and receptions celebrating the seventh anniversary of Form + Content Gallery, 210 2nd St. N, Minneapolis. For more information, visit www.kolmanpryorgallery.com, or call 612-385-4239.
