NEMAA seeks art submissions for July 28 Open Streets event
Posted 6/16/2013
NEMAA is partnering with Open Streets MPLS, an initiative that temporarily closes streets to automobile traffic and transforms them into pedestrian avenues full of activities, for an event taking place Sunday, July 28, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., along Central Avenue NE between 18-1/2 and 27th avenues. As a part of the NE Open Street event, NEMAA would like to showcase the vibrant arts community that lives and works along and near the Central Avenue corridor. They are looking for proposals from artists to participate in the event that capture the imagination of people interacting on the street, include participatory activities, and/or encourage physical activities that engage the passersby. Only current NEMAA members will qualify for consideration and group submissions are encouraged. Deadline for submission is June 24.
